THE WINE
The fruit from the 2021 ‘Sfera’ Montepulciano was harvested from our Block 5. Machine harvested at night to retain freshness, before haulage to the winery.
The grape variety 'Montepulciano' hails from the D'Abruzzo region of central Italy. Montepulciano has dark broody fruit spectrum of Cherry, boysenberry and blackberry with notes of chocolate and sage. A fuller bodied style with soft tannin and medium acidity keep the fruit spectrum framed beautifully over the palate. Perfect with a Veal Ragu served on Polenta or your favourite pasta.
Our 2021 Sfera Montepulciano is a fantastic example of the variety, while also clearly holding bold flavours from our special home in the Limestone Coast. Rich red and black fruits are met with robust and dusty tannins. A perfect food wine. Pair with a rich Ragu.
